what's the different between attach and global stitch?

when i use multi patch modeling,i select all nurbs patch then global stitch,delete histroy in the end.but the all nurbs patch don't stitch again, they're separated.

what's wrong?

attach does what its name says, it combines geometry. stitch just stitches you would use stitch when your piecing patches togethr for exp. when you deleted history you deleted your stitch, so the patches arent stitched anymore. when i worke dwith nurbs, i would stich it all then delete history, then stich with a low setting cause its all ready been stitched, just had to connect again.
