I would like very much to start network rendering with several computers that are just sitting around, but I am extremely new to this and need some help.
When manually rendering with maya, I see that you have to have maya installed on each machine. :annoyed: are there any third party programs out there that are just the maya renderer? so I don't have to have the entire program there?
how do the third party renderers compare to manually rendering? are they really necessary? if so, what other features do they have?
are there any third party renders that can harness the rendering power of a networked cpu without having to have maya installed on it?
thanks for the help
