Title: Viper Venom
Name: Amirhossein Erfani
Country: Iran
Software: 3ds max, mental ray

This is another 3d model I made and I rendered it with mentalray. My renders are not having the quality I'm looking for, but I'm working on my skills and learning new tips and hints to get them better, also I'm working on some roads and environments (like my transam render) to make better images. all c&c are welcome, and make me motivated.

I would recommend you to create an image based lighting (render globals->environment) and plug in a cityscape or something that your car can reflect. It will make a world of a difference. Also, if your windows are opaque you have to make them even more reflective.

Good luck

Hi, I can’t profess to knowing the mental ray renderer as I use v-ray personally. My advice is try putting the car in a real environment, this will help with reflections. HDRI lighting is pretty good for reflections. For the Aston Martin image we created a 3d environment and used a hdri sky. The actual lighting is with normal lights and GI.

I think showing some of the interior to the car will help improve the realism.

Thanks.

Hello my dear friend.
I really don't know about 3D renders. But I know that the practice is the way to luck.

Looks pretty cool, but would definately benefit from using a hdr image for lighting and reflection.
