Im working on this black mans head and trying to get a nice skin texture. Anybody got some nice tips tutorials or something on how to paint a good black male skin? this is the ref image im going for. And also some way of texturing short hair and stubble?

I'd say just like any other skin with different RGB values.

Small bump maps, maybe even the mi_bump_flakes...?

ive done a normal map from a zbrush model. Im aiming for a game model. Yeah i gues, just thought someone had like a tutorial that handled a black male.

i remember running into this tutorial (http://www.free3dtutorials.com/modeling/zbrush/making-of-silent-man.php) some time ago... hopefully it will give you a few pointers. He basically uses actual photo projections with SSS

I would say, if you're looking at how to paint a certain color of skin, you might be able to find something dealing with airbrushing, especially airbrushing for skin tones. Then try to transfer that data to photoshop and your renderer
