Hi all :)

Just working on another character. This time i choosed to create a full detailed one. Even if in the final we will not see all those details (like skin, etc..) i just wanted him to be as real as possible... Alot of work to accomplished coz it's already not very good...

I love the body hair it adds a ton of realism to the chararacter. Your work really inspires me. I cant wait to see more updates. :airguitar

one more thing--
mabey you could add some hair to the tops of his feet? Other than that I think it is GREAT

awesome shader, textures, lightning, anatomy,modeling (especially feet & hands) :wip:

The only thing, which I could critizise is the face,
i don´t really know what´s wrong, but it looks to me a little unhuman/strange :shrug: to me

nevertheless: WOW!!!!

Yop strike ! ca faisait longtemps que j'avais pas vu de tes travaux... meme en état de wip celui ci est de loin le plus impressionnant ihmo. ton style est en plus tellement unique, ca laisse réveur :)
bon je repasse en anglishe pour que tous comprennent ! vraiment bravo et j'ai hate de voir la suite (et m'y mettre aussi...)

Althought it's wip its already excellent :eek: love the texturing and body hair. it's already very realistic :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
the hands also look very good!

few critics (although im a noob) :
- in back view the shoulder/homoplate junction looks like it needs tweaking
- texture junction at the wrist looks weird
- imho the hand/arm/forehead veins are just a bit too visible

really awesome, can't wait to see more !!!

Nice :) Something with mouth is not right :shrug: but hard to point ;) His face seems to be a bit asymetrical - that's probably why he seems cold/unhuman. As he is to be space warrior, that's probably good ;)

If you're going for hyper real...which you may not be...I personally like the way he looks in the face...gives him a little bit of the Strike appeal...I would make the eyes a tad smaller(not the shape...the actual eyeball itself..the iris seems big to me) and work on the lips...they just don't have that human touch...in males I believe the lower lip is a bit bigger than the upper lip...I may be wrong....but who knows you could try it and see if that works...if not just go back to what you have...it looks excellent...nice anatomy work:thumbsup:

nice work on the body, I like it quite a bit. You knew it was coming, but can we see a wire? It's always good to collect more reference.

My critique would be that the hair on the chest looks like it is bumped off the chest, which it shouldn't be, it looks wrong. Not as much anyways.

Aswell as previously said, the head looks messed. The mouth is definately funky. The sides of the mouth shouldn't come down so far. If you are trying to make him frown, then just the corners of the mouth should be down.

The eyes aswell look too big. I think it's the whole area around the eyeball that's a little too large. The eyeball it's self is just fine.

It may be just the shadows, but it seems like the inside of the ear goes in too far.

The space between his side, and his arm is too large. When his arm is down they should be pressed against each other.

The nipples also seem to be too hard. They are like the lips. Not a major crease, but more of a color change with a slight crease.

Despite these things, it is still very well done. Good job.

That is freaking bizzare! Entirely photo-realistic with a stub-crotch! Not that I don't appreciate his lack of genitalia, it's just really... odd...

His ears are not realistic. I like the body, maybe you should remake the armpit.

I love your work, but all your heads seem to be shaped off the same one. Its like you made one that was good, and then deform it everytime you make a new character. Nothing wrong with that if that is indeed whats happening, but if you are doing it, try chaning the ey shape a bit...head style of all your characters are very similar.

About realism... well i think it's finally not a good idea... I think i will loose of the style i want to give, and i'm not good enough for that ;)

Anyway, i started underwears. These clothes will be under the main armor, so even if they are textured, and a bit detailed, i don't think we will be able to see everything on the final shot :

only small crit is maybe the weave in his jacket is too big making him look like 1 of those large dressed up action figures? maybe just me anyways great stuff

His upper lip looks, i dunno how to say it, kind of convex, like where it should dip down, it'd protruding.

What is the ridge above his left eyebrow - a vein?

The face is retracting from the realism IMO, the body is excellently modelled and textured.

I agree with the comment about the coat being too large.

Cool, I like the dirt on his cloths. This underwear looks really heavy and thick, it's good.

It still seems to me that he should have something more between his legs.

i think there is nothing wrong with the mouth, it's just that kinda style. not always "perfect" mouse...that upper lips just looks thifferent than normally, but i like that style.

What can I say, I tried. I think I came close to what you have in only 30 seconds. ;)

Oh, and to the fellow who asked why there is no genitalia.

It's because there is a checkbox in Poser that turns genitalia on and off.

It's under the 'Figure' menu.

It looks a lot like the other image you have in the cgtalk gallery.
Maybe you should try something different. Did you use poser in that cgtalk gallery image?

About the clothing, it looks al little thick, like its 4 centimeters thick material. Would be really hard to move in that.
The things to close the pockets don't do a thing, there is nothing on the other side to close them with.

I wouldn't use the helmet, it takes away the personal touch, you can't see his expression. His armor has all this corrosion on it. So he must be fighting in some kind of acid environment. That would mean his hands would be covered and his face would have a protective mask, with breathing apparatus on it. Because breathing or touching acid isn't the smartest thing for a marine to do. :)

I have a question, do you do the mapping manually, or do you have something to unwrap your model. I will start unwrapping my model soon, do you know what programs to use?

my only comment would be that the suit he wears isn't exactly something you should wear underneath armor. It's more like a normal uniform.

why did you spend so much time on his anatomy and skin? will he undress in a movie you're doing? :D
