This just in: today CodeWeavers are giving away their WINE-based Crossover product for Mac and Linux. Crossover provides a way of running Windows applications without needing a Windows license: it includes code libraries that "clean room"-replicate the original Windows' ones and let Win apps run without a virtualizer. It would be interesting to see if any Windows 3D app is able to run on it.
The offer was to stop tomorrow, but it seems they'll extend it, given how their servers were hammered, becoming unresponsive.
