Name: Marco Lazzarini
Country: Italy
Software: 3ds max, finalRender, Photoshop
Hi all,
after some time I've worked again on my last personal work "Arabesques".
Now I gave it a more interesting look, a mix between realism and artistic painting.
I hope that you will appreciate the new version.
As usual C&C are welcome.
Cheers!
Marco

amazing work marco, and i suppose you did a strong texture work with AI or autocad to reconstruct all this in vectors. Could you show me your workflow!?
Ciao e complimenti ancora :D

Cool work. I also like the look of a folded photograph or postcard. Nice details.

Hi
thanks all for C&C.
@squarepixelstudio
In this scene the textures are few and very simple, the scene was born to test the ability of Finarender with a huge number of geometries (istances type) with few ram, so all that you see is done in geometry no displacement maps have been used (also the tiles on the floor is 3d geometry. Crazy job! Eheheh), for a total of more than 20 milion faces. (Here you can see the wireframe: http://www.3dlink.it/temp/arabesqueswire.jpg )
The arabesques geometries are born with the help of my girlfriend Gaia Perniceni,she did the 2D cad drawing for me and after I extruded them in 3dsmax ( also the 3d model of chandelier is created by Gaia).
Thank you again!
Cheers!

And a "Off topic" a question : how much good is your pc ? Because, i have a very nice pc but a think can't support this much of wires....

Hi,
Thanks again.
@LMCdesign
I've done this scene on a laptop with a dualcore Cpu, 2 gb ram, Geforce 8600GS. Also for me it was impossible to work with all geometries shown in wireframe, so when I had all the things in viewport I used the "bounding box" mode.
Cheers!
