View Full Version : wip: burgers/grill + sniper pro praise
wesware 06-11-2003, 06:35 PM Hey,
Here is a portion of a print ad that I had to produce in 2 afternoons.
Very little post in photoshop (color correction etc).
The burgers include SLA as well as a few photographed textures .
Please let me know what you think and/or what you would change.

Sniper pro came in very handy for this job. It quickly rendered out tests along the way even though this scene includes radiosity (stochastic mode) and a few layered textures. Saved my butt.
To buy and/or checkout Sniper pro go to http://www.tools4d.com
THANKS!

Thanks for the reply guys..
Yeah... the burgers are repeated. The final image for the ad is so cropped in and distressed that it became a non-issue. Time constraints made it necessary, unfortunately.
Thanks again!
geez thats the first photoreal burger I have ever seen modeled, how did sniper help you dude. Can you explain a bit?
great pic

It looks great (the only real quibble I could come up with is that the grill marks on the burgers extend to the side). But I have to wonder what's up with the advertising world when it's better to do a 3d add then to actually make a good burger. They could've grilled a dollar burger and run it through a candy filter. :p

Lol, yeah, like "we can't cook a good burger so can you make one"... it doesn't have as much to do with cooking burgers as it does "tailgating at a game". Thanks for the comments.

nice work ... the burgers and the background really look very realistic ... the coal looks perhaps a little bit to colorful ... when i remember to my old days ;) the coal would have to be rather black or white/grey

Yeah!
Once the job is done I will post the burgers in my free section... as well as any other possible textures in my "burgers of summer" section :). Check my site in a few weeks if you are really interested.
