View Full Version : Textures: Adjusting Size In Maya?
callon 06-11-2003, 04:39 PM Hi all. I'm working with Maya 4.5 and I'm trying to tile a floor (bottom of a nurbs cube) with a wooden plank shader/texture. Basically, the problem is that the planks look too large when rendered. If I want to male them appear smaller do I have to edit the acutal tileable pic or can I do something with UV's in Maya to adjust the texture's appearance?
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

adjust their repeat U V attributes. this will repeat the texture that number of times making them decrease in size as they squeeze that texture on the same surface more times. or if you need more control use a projection map and adjust the projection interactively. can't really tweak the UVW's on nurbs surfaces... so any tweaks pretty much need to be made with the texture rather than the surface.
