View Full Version : strange black shadow artifacts caused by ray-tracing
BlenderFan 10-26-2008, 01:19 PM I am working on Lighting Challenge #16 over in the Lighting Challenges Thread, and I am experiencing an odd problem when I use ray-traced shadows or ray-traced AO. It isn't the objects in the scene, and it doesn't happen with buffered shadows. I am attaching an image. I am using Blender 2.48. Maybe someone can help.

Can't really tell much from that render, other than it looks like a cube or plane casting a shadow.
If you can upload the blend file I could take a look at it for you.

Pardon my ignorance, but I am having trouble getting this file to a manageable size. Even when I zip it, it's too big to attach.
