Hey guys.
I am currently working on a project and I have a room that is completely enclosed, but the only problem is I need an ambient occlusion pass. Seeing as though ambient occlusion block out light on objects I have absolute darkness inside this room.

Is there any way that I can create this scene so that the ambient occlusion is inside the scene or not.

Cheers
Michael

If your software allows it then try limiting the range of the occlusion sampling to a value of something like 1m or thereabouts.

A decent starting point is about 1/3 the distance to the ceiling. Then you can tweek from there.

hey guys, thanks for ur replies. i decided that i had to make a door for the scene and when i punched a hole in the mesh the ambient occlusion worked marvellously.

Thanks again for your help
