Hi all! Well i guess the question is clear:) I have this scene, where in the background a movie is playing. The movie has been shot with a camera on a tripod so the image is completely fixed. In cinema 4d i have added some pieces of ground that are supposed to react to an earthquake.

My question is, is it possible to add some camera shake in cinema 4d, to simulate the earthquake, which will also make it seem as if the background movie is moving?

Or do i need to do this in another compositing app?

If you use your footage in a background object it won't shake.
You can apply the footage to a vertical plane, add a compositing tag to it and turn 'Compositing Background' on.
This will work as a background but it will have a "physical" location. When you move or shake the camera you'll see the background moving or shaking.
