Hi - just thought I'd mention it here as it's not been discussed, there's a new release of Jenna v2 over at cidertank, it includes iterator with some funky new options, including assigning iterations to a TP group, which can only lead to fun fun fun!

Seems fast too, but this could be because the demo only renders bounding boxes, not polys.

Also NICKL has been upgraded.

Coolio!

Strange people seem to be ignoring Jenna. I mean its not the end of the world. But Darf is the guy who made SLA.

If only I had more cash grrrr.

Nickl has got some little problems I guess cause it is not in the update when you dl it now. Can't find any multiple source function too.

Can't wait !!!!
TP + Iterator = absolute graphic madness.

congrats Darf

Hi pasto,

NICKLv2 is there. I am still working on the documentation for ITERATOR but Multiple Source is also there. I am confused by your problems finding them. I know the docs are not complete yet but to use multiple source you place a Multiple Source object under the ITERATOR object and then your source hiearchies under the Multiple Source object, for example :

ITERATOR
MULTIPLE SOURCE
Cube
Sphere

This would give you a cube/sphere/cube/sphere/cube/sphere iterated sequence. There is control over the sequence of these multiple source objects as well.

ITERATOR, NICKL, displaceVIEW, Multiple Source, uberNULL, and ghosterTAG are all code finished and in the archive ( uberNULL was updated in the archive last night to elimnate the string issue ). If you are having any issues please email support@cidertank.com and we will help you from there.

As far as users ignoring JENNA I believe it is quite the contrary. The sales JENNAv2 have far outpaced any of the bhodiNUT products and have surpassed my expectations by two fold ( and I am an optimist! ). I think many users in the forums are still waiting to see the package as a complete unit. Understand that is why there has been no marketing on my end. The marketing will begin when the product, product galleries, and website product descriptions are complete. I think the interesting thing is that many users have emailed me believing the utility plugins count as part of the fifteen plugins that are in JENNA. If I count the utility plugins we are far over twenty. The rest of the ports for the JENNA classics support the multiple source objects and interpolated variation. There are a few surprises beyond those. The real fun comes after the classics. This stuff will kick your but. They are focussed on KISS ( Keep it simple stupid ) principle. Easy to understand, and twice the power.

And yes, there will be an email to all users on the mailing list a week before the price increase. If you are not on the mailing list just send an email to mailinglist@cidertank.com with the subject "Add".

Best Regards,
darf out - cidertank.com

Waiting till later in the summer--after June taxes. That and waiting for some client checks. Seeing more examples will be helpful too. I'm sure theres a lot of "sleepers" like me out there who are planning on buying but the timings just bad.

i know been talking to darf and RenderKing will be supporting Jenna when the official full release is out...

i've had lots of interest from users about it - so i do think sales will spike up when the full packgae is done.

looking forward to it!
