Can any1 give me few tips for setting up Render multi frames simultaneosly option in afterFX for 8 core and 8Gb RAM machine. Rigth now it get's perty choked when all procesess suck up all ram and it is going slower than with simu frame rendering turned off.
I tried lowering cache RAM but doesn't seems to have any effect.
Also never got any of those cores even up to 50% usage.
Any1 can shed some light on this?
thank you

If your comp takes alot of ram or there are alot of footages to load (app is waiting for hard drive to load images to ram), then this 'multi-process-render' is pretty useless.

So for me this lame/hacky feature is 99% of time useless

there should be at least option to use only 2 or 4 or something like that cores.. is there?

Maybe I installed it wrong or what but I can't see option to enter number of CPUs to use?
Any help?

get cs4, on a 64 bit pc u'll be able to render using all of your RAM instead of the default 2gb in previous versions....

my render speeds are unreal now, with 8gb RAM
