I like it.. there's a good sense of drama, and I think you've got the rain spot on.

My niggle is the reflection... can't see it happening in a sea that turbulent and a night that dark.

I think it looks really cool to, but I would take a bit of light away from the chars upper arm and add a small bit to the head, a small light like that on the front of a "boat" isnt that strong. :rolleyes:

I'm sorry, but those x-mas trees don't look right to me.
Try adding more yellow to the scene so that the cofee table stands out a little bit more.

And do something about the awful dog in the bottom corner.

Apart from that, it's looking half assed... good job! :thumbsup:

I do agree the reflection is lame, I'm going to get rid of it, plus I'll give him some minor facial highlights to bring him out a bit more.

What's creating the light? I know that modern boats are required to have a green and red light on the front (green left/red right I believe) so if you wanted to play with the teo as light sources that could be fun.
I think the monkey thing is a bit innapropriate though... maybe if you gave it pants. Just my 2Cents!

How come this guy is still fishing when it looks like he's about to be capsized? Oh it must be his Green Emerald of Protection he has fastened to the front of his boat! And why is there a UFO flying above his head to the left?? Is this supposed to be a science fiction piece? I'm confused. And the way you signed your name at the bottom is girly.

This is truly horrible, better stick to animating. Why did we hire you again??

Hey, it's looking way better now! I'm glad you made those changes. Although you could have just given it pants rather then removing it... It was a bit...rude before though.
