Title: TMNT Poster
Name: Andrew Domachowski
Country: Canada
Software: Photoshop

I was contracted by a friend of mine to create a poster for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I was very open to the opportunity. (I think one of the oldest drawings I have is Raphael in a Calgary Flames uniform skating away...and I'm from Vancouver...hmm..) Anyway, doing this piece was a real treat and I was pretty happy with the end result. I used Photoshop throughout with some reference used for the hands.

I hope you all like it, as it was pretty fun to do.

Comments and Critiques are more than welcome.

Hey thanks guys, is that to say the bg needs more work?

anyhow, I'm going to maybe touch up a few areas (I'm not sure exactly what) and see if I can make this look better.

Sure is a nice piece. Love these "calm before the storm" scenarios. Great movement and composition. Only thing I'd crit is the reflections from above. I guess they're meant to come from the moon? If so, the moon is a bit misplaced. It's too low in the sky, according to the cast light it should be more above the characters, i.e out of the picture. But I'd understand that the bg would suffer if the moon was removed from it. But that could be fixed with something else, perhaps a chopper or something..

Again Great piece!

Thanks henk! That crit actually makes a lot of sense. I'm busy doing the steampunk challenge but Ill be sure to assess the problem afterwards.

Also, I took the time to go on your deviantart page and I really love your work! Awesome traditional skills you have. I especially like the one with the girl and the lock for her..."special area"..haha. Anyway, a very cool gallery. Thanks for taking the time to crit my work.!
