Guys..........

I have just found a bug in Maya 5.0

I have a character, fully rigged.....actually the character is Melvin from the AliasWavefront learning CDS.

This is the workflow I did and it causes the program to completely exit out, every single time. One time I got a crazy error message, but I've tried it again and again, and it just completely exists out with no trace.

I'm not sure if all of the conditions are necessary, but this is my workflow.

Rigged character, three character sets, "Full" (includes 'upper' and 'lower') then branches off to upper and lower . Go to frame 0, turn off IK calculation, then put to bind pose. Open up trax editor, Create --> pose --> [] type in bindPose, create pose. ok, fine.

set the timeline to 1-120, then go to create clip and select use timeline legth. Ok, works.

Now... under the trax editor column on the left.... for me it says

MELVIN
MELVINTOP
MELVINBOTTOM

But "MELVIN" is a drop menu. Meaning...it can be collapsed so that the column only says "MELVIN" and then if you click on the little arrow pointing down, then MELVINTOP AND MELVINBOTTOM appear again.

But.... the default is it shows you all three character sets... ok fine.

click on the arrow next to melvin, the menu collapses. .. like it should. click on it again....to expand it.....and BOOM!!!!!

MAYA 5 has disappeared!!!!!!

Ok, no problems.
