View Full Version : Character: Freud
Tim Deneau 06-11-2003, 01:26 AM I'm working on a series of short educational movies to be bundled with a psychology book.
I know the design isn't very innovative... but crits and comments would be appreciated.

When I first opened this I though what's he so scared of......I would give him some eyelids and work on the ears...the hands could be a little bigger too...I could however, tell this was freud...keep it up...nice work...just needs some work...also if you want you could add like a little chain goin in his jacket that has a pocket watch on it...just an idea... :)

Thanks for the input, Remi. The eyelids did help (although the glasses are blocking them at that angle). Made a few tweaks here and there, should have an animation ready by tomorrow...

Perhaps you could turn him towards the camera.....I also find that glasses on cartoon characters need to be exaggerated...bigger perhaps so you can see the eyes...it doesn't makes sense to cover up the eyes....since that's where alot of the emotion in animation comes from...if you remember pixars geris game...the glasses he put on weren't only exaggerated but the lenses made his eyes even bigger....try making them bigger.... One other thing....he's very pale...give that man some color:)

beside making them glasses bigger you could take the road to make them 'really' small and let 'em hang more loosely on his nose so that he's constantly looking over them ;) (that'll fit into the psycho route imo)
