View Full Version : Problem with a simple XSI animation =-(

Ok i am simply trying to make a simple prop for a game that my friend is making, rotate 360 degrees cyclic so that it just rotates over and over. This is my timeline from frame 0 to frame 31:

Frame 0 = 0
Frame 1 = 0
Frame 15 = 180
Frame 31 = 360

Now when i play this back it plays fine but there is a slight pause at the beginning of each replay, so my animation cycles well except for that part but like i said there's a slight pause at the beginning of each loop =-(

I have done animations before in DazStudio and 3DS Max but wit XSI i am having this problem.. If anybody would be kind enough to take a quick look at my project file i'd be highly grateful indeed.

I have been trying all day to figure this out. At first i was going from:
Frame 0 = 0
Frame 15 = 180
Frame 30 = 360

Tried all variations but the previous keyframes i mentioned up at the top are what somebody mentioned to me but there still seems to be no effect :( Sadly it is also doing this in the game i have gotten it into.

Can anybody help or advice me please?

set rotate to 0 at frame 0
set rotate to 360 at frame 31

set the key mode to LINEAR.

that's all you need.

Where do i set it to linear? I've been trying to find that but i can't seem to find it =-(

Ok i figured out my problem.. Apparently it doesn't like people animating in XSI Mod Tools 6.0 which modders use for Valve/Steam.. I switched to XSI 7.0 and it works fine now >.<
