Hi,

I've just bought a new PC (8-core, XP64, 8 Gig RAM) and I installed Painter IX, 9.1 update then IX.5 update.

When I try to paint with Digital Watercolour, I get an application crash - although I'm sure I used IX Digital Watercolour without any problems.

Are there known problems with XP64, (I know nothing is multithreaded and it's a 32bit app, but it would be nice if it actually worked as well as my old 32bit setup)?

If IX has known problems, is X any better with XP64?

Thanks,

Steve

Your biggest problem might be that Painter IX was not programmed to work with 8 core machines (meaning several multi cores). Painter IX came out what? 4 years ago?

Also, win 64's 32bit enabling may be extremely limmited. I don't know for sure, but who knows?

Post your technical issues (your message above) in the Got a Question? forum at The PainterFactory where the Corel Painter developers or someone who works with them at Corel will read it and hopefully respond:
