Title: iPhone Brushes Paintings
Name: Goro Fujita
Country: USA
Software:

A colleague from work recommended me a Painting Tool for my iPhone called "brushes". The last few weeks I really got into it. I bought a "pogo stylus" for my phone and started doodling around with "brushes". There are several painting tools for the iPhone available but this is definitely the best so far.
The iPhone display is not pressure sensitive so you have to set the opacity manually but that doesn't bother me at all. Brushes provides multiple undo and redos, a pop up eydropper tool and many more cool features.

These are Paintings I've done on my iPhone with the stylus.
I'm really enjoying this tool. It feels like a portable cintiq!!
Hope you like my lil' doodles...

You can get it in the Apple AppStore for around 5bugs but right now it's on sale for 0.99cents....so go and get it!!!

Hi,

Very nice!
Hey that's nice; drawing everywhere...but the screen is not too small?
I know something like that called "Colors" for IPhone and Nintendo DS, it seems to be nice too, it's possible to find it on the internet.
Hope to see more of your small Iphone works soon ;-)
thanks for the news ;-)

Thanks all for the feedback!

I have colors on the DS and on my Iphone but I prefer brushes.
It's more intuitive and easy to handle.

Thanks Goro,
I don't know "brushes"...So it's interesting to try, if you said it's more intuitive ;-)
Thanks again

Hi!, I have Colors! and Brushes and I think Brushes has a bit more resoution (or so it seems), but Colors has pressure sensitivity through iphone's accelerometers and I find it very usefull. Goro, what do you think about pressure sensitivity in Colors? have you given it a try?
I don't have a stylus so I paint with my finger, and yes, the screen is too little to paint comfortably with the finger, but you still can do it.

at first I found it an interesting approach to control opacity but then I felt stupid doing the tilt all the time. I liked colors on the DS but on the iphone I don't think there is anything
better than brushes right now.

yes, I know what you mean. I think a better solution would be a slider, where the tilt indicator is located that you could move up and down using the iphone's multitouch capability, so you could simultaneously paint and change the opacity with much more control. Maybe i'll write this idea and send a mail to the guy that made Colors! (sorry, I don't remember the name right now)

I just recently got brushes also, as well as flipbook. I got the iPod touch specifically for these apps.
Since I bought it I did these 3 pics

Most of them have beards since I was playing it a bit safe and avoiding parts of the face, I'm pretty inexperienced in painting. I'd like to use colour next time. I love the wierd nigt rabbits you've done.
