Hey,

Here's a project I just turned in for my "Intro to Maya" class at Gnomon. I'm a first term student there, so I've been using Maya for about 10 weeks. It's all NURBS, with very little in the way of trimmed surfaces. The lighting is one area light with raytraced shadows, and one ambient light.

I love to hear some comments and crits on this...

Thanks,
Brent

The pnumatics are very clever, and bring out some real character in the vehicle. Not something I would have done, nor anyone else for that manner. It would be great to see this animated a little bit. Try! You've got a great start -- NURBS are tough IMO.

I love the headlight texture.

Thanks for the comments...

bmud - Yeah, I wanna try animating this at some point, but I'm sure by the time I learn animation, this model will be long forgotten. Gotta know your NURBS, though, even though they're a pain.

mage111 - Ha! I have no idea what this is, it was a sketch I had made some months back, and decided it would make a good final project.

Thanks again,
Brent
