Those are very nice renders!
The little things, like the fuzz on the glass blade and the fur on the beetle's feet are very nice touches. Also, the DOF helps bring a sense of scale to the images. Overall, I think they're great. The only thing I might do is make a slight variation in the texture symmetry, as I'm sure these creatures have patterns that are close to symmetrical, but not quite pixel-perfect.

Looks very realistic, but I think the gras is a bit overlighted, the reflection/Glosiness is way to high. Even if I take a tourch and light a piece of grass in total daylight it will never look like that.
I think you should leave the symetric pattern, why should they be even a bit unsymetric, if the gens tell the animal (while evolving) to create patterns like that, they will look the same because they are copys (I hope you can follow)
Its got bumps in there anyway so it looks right
DOF gives the image the right last touch. All in all

only crit is as to what phil said, the lighting on the grass is too strong imo. ive never seen images off grass like that.
however the scene is very realistic to me, great work man
Really nice renders!
But- you like wasting polygons, don't you? ;) :p
Greetings,
XerC

Tx for the kind words guys.
About the symetry, Prs-Phil and Brent Turbo, I guess that Phil is wright, Brent. Because these creatures are really symetric. Of course that just like anything else in nature there's that tiny assymetry in everything, but that's not relevant.
About the lighting in the grass...well, it isn't grass. It's supposed to be the 'trunk' (I don't know the word in english) of some weed...it's different than grass. Even the shape is different, and I have some photos here that show that strong light. But I'll do some renders with less light.
XerC, I don't like wasting polys, but hey it was only for this still, so it's Polys For Everyone Day!!
All crits were understood and I'll try to do some changes.

Beautiful render!
Heavy polycount though, i guess that's to be expected with a render like that.

but i think that the eyes are a little 'dead'.. it's suppose to be like that?

Cool rendering! Very realistic!
I agree about the polys but it's good modeling though!
