Hi all,
Im doing some basic mixing on the render tree by testing out the different mixing nodes. But i got confuused with this:
according to the manual Lighter mode is:
"Sets the brightest color (between the first and second layer) as the result color. Pixels darker than the blend color are not replaced."
so i did this test with a colored checkerboard and a black to white gradient... I put one 100% white and one 100% black sqaure on the checkerboard. the result im getting is this:

shouldnt that one white square on my checkerboard be remain 100% white? since its also the brightest color? or am i misunderstading the definition?
Many thanks!
J
