View Full Version : question about wiring morph to bone movement
neversong 06-10-2003, 02:54 PM hello,
I'm trying to make the morpher for arm driven by
the arm bone movement.
anyone knows how I can do this?
I tried to wire the morpher target to the forearm bone...
but it doesn't work.
of course, I know I can animate the morph everytime,
but I think I heard I can do that(above) instead.
help please~

Try using the joint morph gizmo (part of the skin modifier) I've not tested if there's any vertex restrictions yet but it could possibly do the trick. :)

oh, you mean, I can wire the morph target to the joint morph gizmo??
or just recommending to use it?
I've tried to use it before for some nice joint area deformation,
but personally I found it not that helpful.
what I'm trying here is...
to give the arm some muscle movement while moving.
Thank you, xynaria. :)

That's what I figured and because afaik you don't have to only use the vertex around the joint.. just the ones you select before using the edit mesh then in theory you should be able to do that. That's just using the gizmo .. no wiring. I'll try it a bit later cos that was the plan for myself. :)
