amazing...
but you show pay attention to the tires..
put more details..
the tire is look like flat..
like plastic..
thereīs no marks, grids..
continue..
i hope you gonna put the wires..

Sick buddy! Love it. Yellow is the new red  I'd say the comment on tyres depends on the angle in the final render. No point in modelling grooves in the tyres if they wont show :buttrock:

yes.. i agree with you about the modelling "if they wont show"

but look..
the car is sou nice modeled that i think the tires could be the same treatment.
and the marks on the tires wont make the model too heavy.

I've seen this model in production over the last few weeks and it is tight like a tiger.

Bernos has nearly perfected his lighting style and the model is (as far as my limited knowledge goes) of commercial grade.

If anyone has a render farm spare, please let Brendan animate the car.

Peace outside...

after a few updates... added details to rear etc.... Just rendering a few angles and some detailed shots..... will post em then its onto the interior. Anyone got any good interior shots of this thing? I'd take shots of my own, but its, um, with my mechanic.

that car is dead sexy! i'd like to see a tutorial on it if you had time. also... would it be too much to get a pic of the patches? curious how many it took

o crap... is that subD? i thought it was NURBS at first but now i can see some splits in the topology so it looks like subD or poly.... very nice topolgy if it's poly...

Wow. that is looking great.

Isn't the small triangular turn signal light just in front of the front tire a little shorter (front to back)?

to cool for skool bernos,

you've done it again chief.

as for interior shots come over and check my car, however the reflections might not match since my car is red, and getting a new paint job is a biutch.

  Thanks ppl.....

More renders in the pipe at the mo, but to answer some q's:

- Yep its a good ole' spline cage/patch/subD job, done in LW7.0b

- The front indicators are in fact a little shorter along the X, but but I created them by using the geometry created when patching my spline cage.... felt it better to maintain the integrity of the geometry and keep things clean, rather than end up with a possible mess all for the sake of absolute reality..

- The lighting is pretty straight forward.... i use the TextureEnvironment plugin with a gradient based on Pitch (bright white at the horizon, sharp falloff to a smoother midtone to white gradient up to the zenith. Finally I use an orange point light with a good bit of attenuation to get the hard edge shadows... just adds a bitta depth methinks. Oh and of course I use GI!!

- Im still not totally happy with the taillights... ill do some closeup renders and get opinions, i think perhaps the reverse lights are a bit "bright"

Anyhooo thanks again... keep the crits a comin'

(BTW rosco, what the hell you wanna get a red Lambo for? You end up looking like some poor "Ferrari owning wannabe". I'll just wait till the Murc gets back from the mechanic, till then im stuck with the old 250 GTO)

Nice car, However once again another car lacks a tire valve. How in da heck are you suppoed to put air in those tires? or are the tired purely rubber to the rim? Anyways Keep it up! good works!

Well methinks that the exterior is pretty much done.... except, of course, for some valves on the tyres. Heres some updates....
