This might sound like a "dumb" question, but i'll take my chances and ask it away!

How can i have the maya "sub-windows" attached onto the GUI itself?
I mean now i have the attributes window in a new window above my viewports, this is kinda ankward since my monitor is not that big!

Is there a configuration or even a command to make thoes new windows appear inside the maya gui?
I saw a gnomon video where, Alex Alvarez switched between a fixed window and a floating one, but i just can figure out how this works...

Anyone willing to help?

:Thanks:

Do you mean like to have it over there on the right where the Channel Editor is?

hmmm must be a custom scripted UI?
I'm looking for an easy way to customise the UI too!

I would personally like to have the layers menu to run horizontally across the top of the screen like the shelf menu... (I've seen this one some ppl's setups) :bounce:

Go to preferences and check Open Att Editor in Main Maya window.
