View Full Version : Reassembling an object. Particle Question
nelsonteixeira 06-10-2003, 03:31 AM IŽd like to disassemble a textured object into dust and reassemble it back in another position. Like a Teletransportation thing . The oposite of the freebie Gnomon FX tutorial.
I tried to duplicate my NURBS object and use it as a goal, nut the particles goes to CVs instead of rebuild my original geometry.

Why don't make the opposite action?
Then turn your rendered animation in the right sense!

you will need an "intermediate" particle object to use as a goal for the moving particles i guess..
to get the right effect you can also "sort" your particles quite eaily with a small trick.
if you like, check out the following files (both .mb files):
sort them first (http://bigott.gmxhome.de/scenes/SortParticles.mb )
(run from frame 1 to see the effect of sorting)
now the goaled movement (http://bigott.gmxhome.de/scenes/SortParticlesGoal.mb )
cheers
