View Full Version : Is it possible to create a game in Maya?
shaitan_ghola 06-10-2003, 03:26 AM I'm completely new to the software, but I noticed something, the MEL script, does this mean I can program to make games INSIDE Maya?
My other question is, can I use low-poly models as game models and take them straight to C++ and Dark Basic, or do I have to do something like import the models into 3d Studio Max and then bring them into the programming software?

The MelBotWars (http://www.melbotwars.com) website should answer your first question....

Alexx: hehe awesome!
shaitan_ghola: As for your second question, yes you can. I don't know what format you want the model data in, but it's not hard to do an exporter in MEL, or the API.
