Title: Sacre Coeur
Name: Rudolf Herczog
Country: Sweden
Software: CINEMA 4D, Maxwell Render, Photoshop

This is a project i´ve been working on for some time now and finally completed. The Sacre Coeur basilica in Paris.

The modeling was quite an undertaking and more or less a huge jigsaw puzzle as i had to rely on tourist shots of various quality for reference and had to do a lot of guessing on what some parts looked like.

I decided to keep the surroundings for this one simple, rather than filling it up with all sorts of stuff as i usually do. :)

The entire lot is modeled with Cinema4D R10.5 and rendered with Maxwell. Postwork in Photoshop.

A work in progress-thread for the model can be found here for those interested.

Hi Rochr,

Really great stuff 5* for me. I think you can make render from different point of view and some zoom, it can be great.

Thanks a lot guys. :)

I´m planning on doing a few more renders of the building, just not right now.
After spending the better part of the last 4 months with the same model i just need to do something else in between. :)

4 months?! Rudy, you're a madman ;) An incredibly gifted and patient madman, it has to be said! This is astonishing modelling man. Seriously, stunning work. I visited Sacre Coeur with my wife a few years back and it is a magical place - you've really captured its beauty. Well done for sticking with it Rudy - hope you're doing well, Phil.
