I finally figured it out! No questions, guess I'm just bragging really. it took me about 7 hours. render took about 10 min. Happy to share some info

hello! I've not tried to accomplish it yet, so have no idea of the complexity, but I know I'm going to need to get this to work very shortly. Could you post an example or hypershade shot of where all those plugs and connections go?

it's really not that difficult but it involves a little tweaking, and isn't too obvious. check out this glass/caustics render as well. I'm thinking of doing a quick video tutorial soon

I too have never tried, but displacement maps and i usually don't get along, so i would be interested in a tute.
