I am pretty happy with this render. But i want to lean more about HDRI, i have tried it and stuff...but how do u make ur own HDRI MAP....and is there specific way...coz its mapped with differnt style Cubic, Cross Cubic, Cubic strip etc...and most of the Cubic HDRI maps are like a cross...?....
these renders are without HDRI...i try to get my reflection using grids, spheres around my car...and i play with thier position until i get the desired reflection..

It looks nice man, i think you should work on the car material some more, it looks too much like plastic, u can get a better looking paint shader then that without worring about HDRI. I would drop the DOF aswell, makes the car look like its a toy car, if the camera was that far away from the car, the focal range would need to be much higher to look realistic.

I`m not sure about that headlights. Peogeot 206 WRC have different. I don`t like this one, but it`s none of my business. Oh, now I find, that it`s not Peugeot. So ok, you`re right. But If it`s not Peugeot 206 WRC, why is it that similar ?
I don`t underestand this. But, as I said, It`s none of my business.
Anyway, it`s not bad. I would give it 3 stars from 10 :))

uh..why 3 same replies....must have pressed your refresh button a lot....
first of all i didnt knew this post was still around...and i had to start another post of my latest render...so i`ll delete that and add my new render in here.
Heres a composite of my car. Instead of challenging fully photo-realistic...I also tried a little stlylized look.
Its not as good as some of the other composites I have seen here, but here it is anyways.

As for those headlights. They are modeled in a phyisically realistic way..like having a transparent cover(with bumpmap), a reflector inside..and everything enclosed in a covering....
I use selective lighting. I use 2 (inclusive lights) only to light my headlights.
thanks

Yes, ... sorry for the 3 replies, it was some problem of connection. Don`t know, If I can delete it.
To you car, yes I know. This last composition looks nice. Better than first renders. This work looks really better. But I don`t underestand, why have you made car 90% looking same as Peugeot 206 WRC.
I would do a different car, or exactly peugeot. I`m planning some compositons with my rally car in progress, so I`ll let you know, when it will be finished :)

YES!...its totally based on the Peugeot 206...I used many Peugeot reference pics...I changed the headlights..( I didnt like the orignal ones)..and I stayed away from calling it a Peugoet BECUASE ppl will compare it with the real thing and point out all the small missing details.
SO I call it my on unknown car. My aim was to make a "car" with a lot of rally type textures...:)
and it was also en experiment on how quick i can model a decent car....so it went fine...in the future i`ll take a good amount of time..and make hight quality car...a mixed breed maybe..
I want to desin my own car...
