Just looking for some feedback as I near completion:

This is lovely.
The man's moustache is a bit too dominant in the image, and steals attention from the rest of the picture. You need to consider what you want the viewer to focus in on, his moustache, or the little girl, then him, then the beautiful folds in the fabric, across to the doll, and back up again to the little girl. The moustache stops that flow abruptly, and keeps the eye distracted.

This is vaguely reminiscent of Diego Rivera, with the soft skin tones and fabric draping. It will be interesting to observe this piece as it progresses.

thanks for the post.

whats funny is that his mustache is actually much more prominent than that. i really had to tone it down a bit.

If that is the case, then the moustache is to be celebrated. The baby will have a hard time competing for attention in this piece.

Now I'm intrigued by this man with the piercing eyes and moustache like a small creature.
This will be a powerful portrait when done. The skin tones are warm and golden, with beautiful tones.
