View Full Version : MR Card Opacity,,,Long Render Times

Basically Zdepth and Mr Mist are an important elements of our project and the only way for these to work proparily is to use the max 2008 production shader MR Card Opacity, but by using this it presents its own problems. Like first of all in the opacity channel we had to use 6bit giffs with we found out the hard way.


Basically my problem is when we use the MR card opacity we get up to 6 times longer render time than usual??? is this normal can anyone shed some light on this? does mr card opacity effect render times? if so how? we really need to use this shader but it is having a disasterous efffect on render times??? any help on this would be extermally greatfull. does the 2009 shader work better?
