hands need some work.

Here are some thoughts:
The wrists and hands are a bit too small. The thumbs on the hands need to have greater size in general. Remember the group of muscles at the base of the thumb (Felxor brevis, Abductor and Apponens Pollisis) create a larger mass that extends downward from the inside of the palm. This is important in creating convincing digits.
Both elbows and knees need to be widened quite a bit.
Think about how the chest and head will move when animated (even if you're not planning on animating him). Will the helmet clip through other geometry when he turns his head side-to-side?
Also, the armor seems boxy, this may be by design and will be reflected in texturemapping, but this is not good if the model rotates along the Y (up) axis from side-to-side. It will most likely cause tearing.
He seems to have some strange shading issue midway up his thighs as well. Looks like a cloth wrinkle in the cloth of his pants, but probably not intentional.
Overall it's going ok. It looks like you started with a box as the base for the model, and you should consider using cylinders instead since the human body and limbs have a rounder shape.
Hope that helps. Keep it up!

Only things I see are in the chest area. His torso still seems pretty boxy. Pull out a few verts on the sides and front and round it out a bit. Others have already mentioned the hands.
Add a bit of flair to the helmet too, the character/model are good, now give it that bit of stuff that says, this is mr. shakley's warrior :D
