Hello every one.

I have a 2 problems with 3D max which I cant seem to fix.

Issue 1
Whenever I go into 3D max 6 or 9 and I wish to model something in the perspective view port this happens http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p62/Shiftymaco/DSC03756.jpg.
When I selected a node before and then pressed (Z) it would lock in on the node and you could zoom in on the node. Now when I zoom in it cuts everything off if you get near.
I am having this problem only in the "perspective" view port while it doesn't occur in the others.

Issue 2

Whenever I "center mouse click" to change the view (pan, ect) the object goes from "smooth & Highlights" to "wireframe" while I hold the button down and when I let go it changes back to "smooth & Highlights". It is making it difficult for me to view my work properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Forgive me if this has been posted in the wrong section. I'm new here!
PS. My print screen button doesn't work which is why I had to take a photo of the screen. :$

Search the forum/manual for
1. Viewport Clipping
2. Adaptive degradation(press 'O' to toggle)

Issue 1: Have a look at the scale of your model. If an object is very small, Max starts clipping it.

Issue 2: Maybe you have some adaptive degradation issue there. Try pressing "O" and see if it is still behaving bad.

Ultra Mega thanks for that scrimski and Piflik.

That fixed the problem.

You have no idea how long I have been stressing over these problems

Once again thanks heaps!
