i enjoy gaming at mac settings but i also like fast rendered animations hard decision!
am stuck http://forums.nvidia.com/style_emoticons/nvidia/sad.gif
so am going with a single card in my system but which one should i go for 3700fx and forget about gaming is it worth it, the speed up?

am getting a new system these are the specs

nehalem 3.2 GHZ

something about 12GB ram DDR3

gtx 280/ new version waiting for it.

ASUS X58 motherboard

2x 300gb sata 10000 rpm raid 0 ( maybe i'll go with 4x 150GB 10k raid 0, if the raid controler on the mobo will support 4 of these?.

windows vista ultimate 64bit

isnt this enough speed for rendering or should i remove the gtx and add a 3700 fx?
am still waiting for most of the hardware to come out.

maybe you installed the 32bit version?

Operating system:
Microsoft® Windows Vista® Business, SP1 or higher (Recommended OS for 64 bit Windows)

Note: It is recommended that you install the 32-bit version of XSI v7.x on a supported 32-bit operating system
and the 64-bit version of XSI v7.x on a supported 64-bit operating system.
Softimage does not officially support 32-bit applications running on 64-bit machines.

Did you win the lottery or something? 12gb of DDR3?! You could buy a decent gaming system just for the price of that ram!

Nehalem? I guess you're prepared to wait for that one...
