Hi this is my first time setting up blend shapes, and they're all working fine.
the problem i have is that i dont know how to make them work simutaneously.
for eg. when a key is made for the mouth expression and then a key for the eyebrow expression is made, the two just blend almost cancelling each other out. is there a way so i could have the two expressions working seperately without blending?

blendshape are additive if they are applied to the same blendshape node. I am not sure how your blendshape is set up but what you are describing shouldnt happen unless you apply them to different blendshape node.

Since you said you are new to this, follow Mydrako's suggestion and keep all those blendshape targets in the same blendshape node (either by selecting them all when you first make it, or by using the edit blendshape to add new ones later).

As you progress you may want to organize things into seperate blendshapes and then you should have a look at the advanced tab in the creation options. For what you want you would probably choose "parallel" instead of "default".

to djx:
I have always been using all the blendshape in one node and havent try other method. Maybe you can explain what are the more advanced way of using blendshape? I will greatly appreciate it.

by blendshape node do u mean make a target and have the other blendshapes linked to the target? cuz i've already done that. it won't let me move one facial feature at a time. maybe
i did it wrong? i followed the tutorial through exactly twice.
this is what i did.
-duplicated the mesh
-made several expressions
-selected all and selected the target last
-made them into blend shapes successfully,
-was able to animate but not with each facial feature seperately

could the copying of the mesh effect it? like the type of copy ' parent'?
