Ha Ha, Don't worry, I love the work of Rankin/Bass with the Hobbit and The return of the king, but if you mean The lord of the rings of Bakshi, his work is great too, but i don't like so much the results of the technique in some scenes of the movie.

I will try to give his own personality to my work, thanks for your advice. :D

He's holding that knife very oddly--it looks like you've put his hand on the wrong way.

Your lighting is also kind of a mess--he has highlights coming from both sides, and the lighting on the stones around him don't match up to either of the proposed light sources on the boy. Also, the light changes color a fair bit. You would benefit from stepping back and thinking about your lighting now before you get any further into rendering.

The right hand definetly needs to be reshaped. As it is now he has a thumb under his pinky. Take a picture of a hand from that angle holding something like a knife and take a look. The round shape on the bottom of the knife needs to be circular also.

Hi, I have corrected the right hand, I don't think necessary that the shape on the bottom of the knife needs to be circular, maybe it can have be a less polished shape.

Yes, I know that I have a mess with the lights, I'm trying to resolve it in the way, I need to improve my illumination and color skills, and more practice in that area.

That hand is still wrong. Now it looks like it's on back to front, but with an amputated thumb. ._. His pinky is as big as his other fingers, and his hand isn't wrapped around the hilt at all--only his fingers are. Find a reference photo, it shouldn't be difficult.
