View Full Version : Gnomon Online Revamp
Leonard 06-09-2003, 02:49 AM Hi everyone,
We're happy to announce that the new Gnomon Online website is now available at http://www.gnomononline.com.
Gnomon Online offers over 40 hours of Maya training accessible with paid membership. Based on the industry driven curriculum of the world's premier visual effects and Maya training facility, Gnomon Online exists to help artists become more productive, regardless of physical location.
The new Gnomon Online is developed and powered by CGNetworks - the same people who bring you CGTalk, 3D Festival online and more.
So take a stroll over to Gnomon Online, and see what they have to offer.

That looks great! Much better. I've always wanted to join the online gnomon club. Now I think I might. I noticed a few things I never saw before with the old layout. Although, I always thought it was worthy of $49.00 a month before anyway. :applause:
excellent revamp there, the site is working one hell of a lot better than before.
if cgnetworks grows anymore or starts powering more sites you'll end up taking over an australian backbone at this rate

What is so cool? I am seeing the same site as before?
The online section looks the same to me.
Can anyone clue me in?
Also anyone out there paying this monthly fee?
I prefer the DVDs, but I am interested if what people have been getting out of the online tutorials vs. DVDs?
Maybe this is stated on the site - but does Gnomon Online work like tech support for questions or help with the DVDs?
This could be worth it, kinda like support from AW. You get support plus the AW access.

heya...
glad you all dig the new design...
as far as content goes, it is all the same, except we have added scene files to each section. Through Leonard's help we have developed a cool content management system which makes it easier to add content.. which means more updates. :)
Madman: sounds like you need to delete your cache or refresh your browser. The site is 100% new (visually) as of yesterday.

Yes, I would like to find a forum or group of other owners of the complete set of GNOMON dvd's. Those of us who are learning Maya via all 44 of the current DVDs.
After spending much $$ for the 44 DVDs I can't afford the monthly online fee, but would like to discuss various issues/learning with other Gnomon DVD learners.
