CGTalk - Scale question

hey everybody,
I've seen this video in wich this guy use scale to align vertices. he scale them, and when they align no metter how much more does he use scale they stay aligned. I tried to do same thing, but in my case scale don't stop when vertices align, instead they contiune to scale in different directions. is there some option I need to activate? I though maybe discrete scale but I don't think that's it. thanks in advanced.

The guy in that video? Sure thing, activate the other option(but not too much).

Provide some more USEFULL information like a link or a name or even the used software.

:) maya. the guy and the video weren't important. anyway, I just figure out how to do that. but thanks anyway.

based on the limited info here i would guess he had snap to point on when he was scaling er something.

'the guy in the video' probably checked on 'discrete scale' for scale options. Then scale in one axis.

i do that too when i want to align vertices....
just select and scale down on a single axis.
(i work on max)
