Hey all,
I've decided to go back to basics and do some body mechanics. So, next up is a pushing animation. Blocking now. Enjoy!

I like it, it has a lot of character and is very cartoony and cute. The physics and actions look nicely exaggerated, like your other videos (I had a snoop :). I can't see anything wrong to really crit right now - perhaps when the tweening is done.

heh thanks for the comments! I AM still a student, and sometimes when I go back to my prev works they just look so bad to me.

HAHA! +1.....its always hard to go back and see how crappy I was. But then, its also refreshing to see how far I've come. I think your animation looks great. The poses are very interesting, and so far the timing and weight seem right on. Of course, it is harder to see weight when looking at stepped or linear curves. I'd love to see how this turns out. Keep it up!

i all
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've just started interning so I don't have as much time as I used to.
Anyway I managed to work on this piece alittle today, so i'm just gonna post it up. I'm not too sure about the timing on this one, it feels alittle fast.

Have a look and let me know what you think

Hey Andre ! Great Job.
I think you shldn't move the box whn legs are skiding.
you can pose more dynamic when he is pushing from shoulder....I mean you can lift head.
I knw this going to be great ....

Wow! This is looking really solid - do you have a newer version by chance? I really love the energy & snappy animation you have here. I sure once you have the beginning antic inbetweened and some cushions on the action this will turn out to be a great animation.

Take some time to consider the rhythm of the piece - you need the character to hold his poses on the slower beats longer to contrast with the fast beats.

It is looking great - keep posting. I would love to learn from this and see how it turns out.

Hi!

Your animation looks really good overall! i like the flow and the timing is pretty good!

There are some little things that i would check!
First, at about half of your animation the box seems to go pass it's middle point witch would make it tilt over. Check that out to make sure you have the right filling of weight on the box.

Then just before the second character gets out of the box, I can see some interpolation in the hands of the main character.

At last, maybe check the last pose, it looks to me to be a little akward. The left arm seems broken. Try to put yourself in that position and you'll see that it's not really natural! (I tried it myself ) :)

I hope it will help you!

But like I said the overall is looks pretty cool, Keep up the good work!:bounce:

take care!

Hi all,
hi matiuste thanks for your insight! I agree with your comments. The weight of the box was over half when it went over the slope - you must have very sharp eyes to have caught tat. I din't change that tho, I decided to keep the box tilted (partially cos i'm abit lazy rite now)
The interpolation of the hands you observed i suppose is when the main char's hands moved just slightly before the blue man jumped out. That was actually intentional. Is it out of place?

Thanks all for your support for this clip!

And thanks for keeping interest in my works these past few months. This is my last clip for my course, so this will be the last WIP clip I'll be posting for now. Feel free to pm me about anything. Will post my demo reel up once I compile and render.

Cheers!
