Alrighty folks, I just recently embarked upon a 3D building journey which has let me to this bridge:

Creating a hydraulic system of pistons which move to create a mechanical--thing I guess. I have set up my IK, and have used the HD solver. My main concern is being able to animate these components later down the road once modelling is complete. Multiple pistons have to be put front to end to each other and in order for the 'system' to look correct, they both have to move correctly. But the only reference info I've found about setting this up is for a single piston, using bones and the HD solver. Is there any good reference material out there that'll help out with multiple links and constraints and things of that nature?

With my limited knowledge of IK and things of that nature, such as bones and all, as well as scripting-- Is there a way to create a slider that will actually move these animated to my liking?

Thanks in advance. If you want to see what project I'm talking about it's http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=67172&goto=newpost I'm setting up the collapsable wings and so far, the animation department of this model is really slowing me down. Any help would be great!

Thanks for readin'!
