View Full Version : Working on new demo
Jose1975 10-08-2008, 02:57 AM What's up guys,
I currently working on a demo.
Can anyone tell me at what resolution I should render it at.
Do companies expect HD quality?

Depends on how you are going to deliver it. Are you going to make HD Blue ray disks and send them? I would personally just do SD and maybe include some high res stills if you want to show a higher level of detail.
Cheers Dan

Thanks, Dan.
I went to Pixars web page last night and found out what you just said.
Thanks man.

Yeah, HD would be awesome, but so far, none of the companies I have applied for accept HD. I think the most common media right now are regular DVDs (unless you apply online, when they sometimes want to see an uploaded reel), but usually you need to bring a DVD for the interview anyway...
It will be interesting to see when the transition to HD will happen. Seemed like it took forever for the VHS reels to get outdated.

I'm glad they haven't gone HD. I was doing my demo in HD but it was taking forever. HD is nicer though.
Thanx
Joe
