View Full Version : Transferring verts edited in the component editor…

I have the entire right side of my character completely skinned and I want to transfer all of the verts I set in the component editor to the left side of the character. So far I've tried duplicating the mesh and mirroring it but it always gives me screwy results.

So is there a proper way of transferring the verts to the other side or do I have to do it all manually?

I appreciate any help/advice.

oh and sorry if you don't understand what i'm talking about because even I'm not sure if what i said is correct. :scream:

You need to use the mirror skin weights tool. Select the verticies that you want copied, then select the vertices you want to copy to. Now goto Skin>>Edit Smooth skin>> and click the options box [] for mirror smooth skin and choose the axis you want to mirror across. Then hit the mirror button and it should copy the weights across.
