This piece was an experiment into skin. I wanted to see how well I could render skin using a self-made texture of photographs I took of paint texture on my walls at home and the texture of an egg. No reference was used for the boy, the spider was referenced from a photograph of a white crab spider from a wild life book. I was considering adding in more fingers into the shot and possibly more spiders to improve the picture. I didn't think of it at the time of painting this due to the fact I was concentrating so hard on making the skin as good as possible. Anyway. Any critique would be appreciated and I hope you enjoy my work :}
