Hi all, ive just finished my secong year at Hull school of art and design, with the much appreciated help of 3rd year friends adam morley, john lee( must of heard of him) and dareen rodriguez(talented guy) and also my learning advisor Paul Sinclair. They have taught me a fair bit about Lightwave and animation. But now I'm left all alone.
I've started thinking about a short story for a 5minutes maxi animation but Im still a bit wary that having a story could detract from the animation, as the story I currently have could be very difficult to pull off it involves a kid in pyjamas riggling around in bed, jumping on the bed etc. the problem with this is the cloth as I feel that it would need to simulated by motiondesigner. I've been told this would be quite hard to do and difficult to get right. Any advice (think im goin a little too adventurous some how)

Im after good animation really.

Cheers

Ben

I recommend this tutorial. It covers alot on cloth animation.

If you still want more, there's also this one:

Hmm, one thing I remeber from MD cloth is that the polygon density of the cloth and the collision object must be about the same. Otherwize the smaller size polygons cut through the bigger ones. "they must contact at the edges" so to say.

Anyway, I hope it helps, have fun!
