It's legs have generally quite good likeness, but I think it's upper torso should perhaps be a little wider? ;)

ok
I see what you are talking about in the pics. I the animation 1 it is fixed because I think like you. I made it this way because I got a real blueprints and that was the size. Some screens from the film are stretched.
koolies, just dl'ed the animations!
hehe it's legs are ubertastic when it's moving! :applause:

That is so great man
I cant stop looking at it :P
Make longer animation with it!!
Ahh ic, it defintely bears a closer resemblance to the normal, unstretched image :D
yea, I did notice that the torso was a bit wider in your first animation too, when I paused it and it looks a bit nicer :D
I think, comparing the images, In the Photo, the rectangular bit (Red) is outside of the black leg bits (Green), wereas in your first image, the Rectangular bit (red) is within the black leg bits (Green). In the first animation they're about even, and if you really wanted, you could make the torso wider? It's no big deal tho, nm me anywayz, I'm just being nit picky :p

It's definetely Great work tho! ;)
edit: Ahh, wait, it looks like the movie model is leaning forward a bit more, and that's probably what is making it look bigger! :p

the feet/toes do a very poor job touching the floor realistically. and in anim 2, the bot is sorta moonwalking (feet walking faster than the whole thing is moving). it looks like you used FK, when IK would've been much better.

I agree about the moonwalking, but I hardly notice that in anim 1. Differetn animation method?
Good stuff btw :D
Apart from the sliding foot, which I only noticed in the 2nd short, the animation of the robot is quite perfect. You even managed to put that slightly jerky movement from the movie into your cg-animation!
Congrats!

Great stuff, I love good old ed too, I even started modelling him a long time ago, never came close to this though..
As far as I can see I looks very faithfull to the original..I think the torso looks a bit small too..Not sure though..
What are you using for rendering?
I would love to get my hands on those blueprints though....
