Wonderful image! I love such images as one can sit and look at them finding tiny details every time. Great textures and lighting and I can't find any flaws. :)

Nene, thanks...yes there is a reason for it. It's in the essay (http://philosophyart.blogspot.com/2008/09/meaning-and-symbolism-of-invisible-or.html) I wrote for the image. :)
A true sign of great environment visualization is that it evokes an emotional connection. My first reaction to this image was not about render quality, or artistic merit. My reaction was simply that I wanted to be there. I wish I had a way to be transported to this wonderfully calm and pleasant place. That means more to me than anything I could surmise about the great aesthetics and fine rendering job you've done here.
Thanks for this lovely, romantic image. 5*.
post note: It wasn't until reading your essay that I began to grasp the meaning layered into this work. At first glance, it is a beautiful image, but closer scrutiny reveals an underlying story.

wow, great image, i like it...
its a really good work so far but it could be much better. first, dont use these hard edges like on your archway model, its evereywhere in your scene and it destroys much of the illusion. the second thing is your textures. they are good, but there is no dirt, no grime between objects. what i mean is that the textures does not "connects" your objects, the transition is missing. here is an example of what i mean.

I really really love this image. Not your typical outdoor render. Very gritty, real, lush, and livable. It's almost as if I didn't even care if it were 3D or if there are any technical mistakes, I just wanted to be there. Which is possibly the greatest compliment you can get on this piece. I'm gonna give a small whisper for front page. Shrug.

Such great work. I would love to have some time and create an image with so much detail. I love modeling more than any other aspect of 3D and would probably get burt out creating all the textures, but maybe one day. I think the only comment I would give is to add a bit more dirt and grime where objects meet, like the bottom of the stairs and what not. Anyways beautiful work.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions everyone.
Baothebuff, a majority of the plants are Xfrog models and it took me about two months to make this.
