Whas up fellow maxers .. maybe someone can answer my question here.

Can anyone please tell me how can I render my animations or convert my animations to mpeg format? I would prefer Render because even if I render all my frames to Targa and composite them in Combustion Cinepak just does a crappy job of it. I also notice the mpeg seems to be the way to go for better renderered quality. I am using 3ds max 4 and combustion.

You need a mpeg compressor :

The best way to do it is to render the final avi with no compresion and them compress the avi with a compressor.

I now there are plugins for adobe premiere that alow you to make mpeg videos but I prefer a standalone compressor

I use lxs-mpeg encoder of ligos
